Penfibre was established in 1973 to manufacture polyester staple fibre. The company has since grown to become a world leader in supplying the finest quality fibre to top producers of premium grade sewing threads.
In 1998 the company ventured into polyester film business with the setting up of Film Division. Penfibre-Film Division was the first TORAY's Lumirror™ Polyster (PET) Film direct investment plant outside Japan.
Year 2015 marked the era of packaging business expansion, value-added processed film - VMPET, was added into the product line-up under technology transfer with TORAY ADVANCED FILM, Inc.
